On Illinois return when filing jointly did my wife also file in 2015 or 2016 or not?

I'm confused about how to answer the question of whether my wife filed last year or not. Of course she filed....jointly with me. But saying yes brings up a bunch of questions I've already answered.

If you and your spouse have filed 2015 and 2016 jointly, and you have stayed married in 2017, then you answer yes.
I suggest you follow thru all questions consistently with your filling status (Married Filling Jountly.
