I opened and contributed to a Roth IRA in February 2016. I did not include that in my filing as the software did not prompt me. Do I need to file an amended return?

No, Roth IRA's are non deductible on a federal tax return. However, if you are eligible, the Roth IRA contributions will be used for the Retirement Savings Contribution Credit.
