Need to go back and add a 1099 but I don't the option to do this as I have already walked through all the prompts.

What type of Form 1099?  There are almost two dozen different types, SSA-1099, 1099-R, 1099-B, 1099-S, !099-MISC, 109-NEC, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, etc.

If it is a 1099-R for a retirement account, you can follow these steps:

1. Under Federal
2. Start at Wages & Income 
3. Scroll to IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R) [Add/Edit]
4. You have two options to include the 1099-R on your tax return.
   1. [Enter a different way]
      1. [Type it myself]
   2. Click box Financial Institution (1099-R) [Continue]
5. Continue the interview to Enter your 1099-R details 
6. You will see the previous 1099-R's that have been already entered.
7. At the bottom Let you will see [ + Add Another Form]
