My wife has W2's from working as a private contractor for the public schools. If the income is reported on Schedule C, would it also be listed on 1040?

Yes, all of the information from Schedule C will flow into the 1040.

Do you mean she has a 1099Misc?

No, the schools pay her and submit W-2's??
