First check the IRS Your Online Account.
That is supposed to have the most updated information.
If the amount reported in "Your Online Account" is the same as your letter, you have a couple options.
1. File using the amounts in the letter if you are getting a refund.
Next, request a trace on the missing payments
Finally, file an amended 2021 return to get the missing payments as a credit (refund)
2. File an original return with the amounts you have on record which are different than your letter and expect a delay with processing and correspondence from the IRS.

Thank you. Yes, I have been trying for a while to access that account. ID me is proving to be very difficult. I am not waiting 2 to 3 days for a video call to verify my identity before I can access that account. Thank you for the 2 options there. I will see what the online IRS account says once I get access.
If you did not get some payments, enter the amount you actually got.
That's the whole point of it.
