My mother passed away and I was the beneficiary of an annuity. I recieved a 1099R and box 7 has 4D in it. Is that a single code or multiple codes?

I am sorry for your loss.  It is two codes:

4 - Death

D - Annuity payments from nonqualified annuities

I am sorry for your loss.  It is two codes:

4 - Death

D - Annuity payments from nonqualified annuities
