My husband collects social security. His form "SSA-1099" only has "numbered" boxes, not "lettered" boxes. I do not find an EIN anywhere on this form. Help?

You are trying to enter it in the wrong place.

Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security  (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.

I have checked what you said to check. No answers there. How can I be trying to enter it in the wrong place? It asks for the EIN number. If I'm entering it in the wrong place why does it ask for it in box b? And where does it go then?

You are trying to enter it in the Wages screen.  Delete out of this and go to

Federal Taxes on Left

Wages and Income

Then scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security

Then the second line - Social Security (SSA-1099. RRB-1099) - click the Start or Revisit button
