My father passed away in April 2020. I don't think he received any stimulus payments. When I enter $0 for received it says he is eligible for the recovery rebate credit?

I don't think he should get a credit for this since he had passed away but there is no way around this in Turbo Tax? Has anyone else figured this out?

He was eligible for both credits so you can put zero when asked for the amount received and let the IRS figure out if he did get the first one ... if he did then they will adjust the return.

TurboTax is correct.

I don't know why you want to get around it.
