My employer does not allow participation their IRA plan for the 1st year. TurboTax thinks I am participating in an employer plan; does not allow contribution.

I am over 65 and should be allowed catch up contribution of $6500. Turbo Tax is not applying the deduction

Within the Traditional and Roth IRA Contributions, there is a screen that asks "Retirement Plan Coverage?" --"Are you covered by a retirement plan at work?

Answer "No".

Am I an active retirement plan participant in 2024 if I only received an employer contribution but was not employed in 2024?
