You might be doing the worksheet by hand wrong. It can be tricky.

Look at your tax return Form 1040 Line 6b for the taxable amount of your SS benefits.
Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.
It's 50% of Social Security plus 100% of other income. And "my" suggest that you are Single. If so, the reference is $25,000. For Married Joint, it is $32,000, not $34,000.

For Single between $25,000 and $34,000, you may have to pay income tax on up to 50 percent of your benefits. For more than $34,000, up to 85 percent of your benefits may be taxable.
For Joint between $32,000 and $44,000, you may have to pay income tax on up to 50 percent of your benefits. For more than $44,000, up to 85 percent of your benefits may be taxable.
