Made my 1st RMD withdrawal for year 2017 in Mar 2018. My broker sent a 1099-R with 2017 and 2018 RMD combined. How do I show the distribution is for 2017 and 2018?

I turned 70 April 2017. I took my required minimum distribution for 2017 before the required April 2018 date. I withdrew my required 2018 minimum distribution before the end of 2018. My broker sent me one form 1099-R with the total of the 2017 and 2018 distribution lumped together. How do I show the the distribution is for 2017 and 2018?

That is not needed ... simply enter the 1099-R as printed and answer the RMD questions that follow.... what tax year they were for is immaterial.
