Form 5329 usually only applies if you took early withdrawals (before you are age 59.5) from a retirement plan, you did not take required minimum distributions (if you are over the age of 70.5) or if you contributed more than was allowable to a retirement, health, ABLE, or education account. For most taxpayers, only the first two situations ever apply.
If none of these issues apply, you can delete Form 5329 by doing the following:
- Log into your return.
- In the left hand navigation, click on the Tools link.
- In the Tools box, click on Delete a Form
- In the Forms list, find the Form 5329 and click delete.
This should remove your issues with this form.
