It’s asking for an appraiser amount on the form K40SVR which doesn’t apply to us does anybody know what this is about?

Yes the K40SVR is a form that offers Property Tax Relief Claim for Seniors and Disabled Veterans in the state of Kansas.

The question is asked to determine what the value of your property.  Are you a senior or disabled person that can take advantage of this credit?

No I’m not disabled or a vet… it makes me fill in that box before I can finish so then would I just put 0?

You can qualify if you are at least 65 and have a home appraised at not more than $350,000 and your income is under $50,000. If you don't qualify, you an enter $0 or delete the Form K40SVR by following these steps:

1. Click on Tax Tools in the left menu bar
2. Click on Tools
3. Look under Other Helpful Links and choose Delete a form
