It didn't do this for me: "When you enter your income info, we'll ask questions about your tips and apply the deduction." I need to be able to enter amount of tip income.

You can enter the amount of your tips.   If your tip amount is in box 14, you can enter the tips using the Reported tips category for box 14.   If your tips are not reported in box 7 or 14, use the other situations screen to report your tips.   

After you finish the w-2 entry, you will come to the screen titled Let's check for other situations.   There are two different options that could apply:

• Tips not reported at all on my W-2 or
• Tips included in box 1 but not in box 7 or 14
