Do you have different amounts in Boxes 1 and 2? Are you actually looking at your 1040 Form to see what is being taxed? 

 

To view your return follow these steps:

  • Go to My Account
  • Tools
  • View Tax Summary
  • Preview my 1040

Inputted info from 1099 R for life insurance payout. charging total vs taxable to income. why?

Do you have different amounts in Boxes 1 and 2? Are you actually looking at your 1040 Form to see what is being taxed?
