To get to your Sales Tax Deduction:

1.  Click Federal on the left-hand side menu.

2.  Click Deductions & Credits across the top.

3.  Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid and click Show more.

4.  Click Start or Revisit by Sales Tax.

It depends on what you're trying to do.  The sales tax deduction is based on non-taxable pay, as are certain other things.  It may be that you're not itemizing.

I am itemizing, but I have not come across the sales tax deduction
