When you receive a pension you enter the 1099R for the pension and say it was all an RMD. No fancy footwork with the pension needed.

Regarding Michigan Form 4884: I believe Turbo Tax calculated my pension deduction incorrectly. Born in 1952 but its using the wrong Tier calculation.
