If I qualify for a retirement fund tax credit why can't i see the file for free option anymore?

The retirement savings contribution credit requires a Schedule 3 using the new tax forms that were implemented for 2018. The Free Edition will only work for returns that can be totally entered on form 1040 without any additional schedules.

You might be able to use another free version from the Free File Program.
