If I made a withdrawal from my 401k and received the money while living in another state, would I have to allocate that income since it was taxed in the state I lived in?

Was in the process of moving to another state. Received money after moving. Withdrawal taxed in previous state. Should this be allocated income?

No.   Only the state at the time of the distribution.

You would have to look at the tax laws in the state you moved from to be sure, but normally the income would belong to the state you were in when you received it. You would have to file a tax return in the state where the taxes were withheld to receive a refund of those taxes though.
