If I have a 401K from years ago with my current employer, but haven't made a contribution in years, am I considered covered under a retirement plan?

Need to know if I can deduct Traditional IRA contribution, given no contributions were made to my 401K.

If no contributions or forfeitures were allocated to your account for the year by you or your employer, then you are not considered to be covered by a retirement plan.

If you are covered by a retirement plan through work, your deduction may be limited (see Chart below).
