If I filed extremely early before the roll out of new tax law how can I see if I am owed more money back?

I have a child and wonder if I should have gotten back more.

If you completed and filed your 2025 tax return using TurboTax then your tax return would have had all the new tax code incorporated or the tax return could not have been filed.

The "new" tax laws passed in July 2025.   By the time you were able to prepare and file a 2025 tax return in 2026, the tax law changes were included in the tax software.    There were no changes that would have given you a bigger refund based on child-related credits.

The way I would explain it is this,

If you had any situation that was covered by one of the new provisions, Turbotax would not have permitted you to file until it was correctly programmed for that situation.
