The basic rule is that you can deduct qualified medical expenses that add up to more than 7.5% of your adjusted gross income (AGI).  Did you deduct the 7.5%?

If you are looking at your total Medical expense number, it also includes any Medicare premiums listed on your SSA-1099. These were recorded when you entered that form.
