If I contribute to a retirement plan and it is taken out of my paycheck is that the only place I mark on my tax return? Or would I enter it under IRA as well?

A retirement plan at work is NOT an IRA.   The only place it gets entered is in box 12 on your W-2.

If you have a retirement plan at work then the information about that is entered when you enter your W-2; it was in Box 12 of your W-2.  You do not have to enter it anywhere else.
