I will not have any reason to file a 1099-R this year. How do I show none on my online taxes?

I didn't take any money out of my retirement funds at all.

If you did not receive a 1099-r due to the CARES act, then you do not need to report it.

If you filed a 2019 tax return with a 1099-R, Turbo Tax is looking for that 1099-R again this year.

  1. Go to federal>wages and income>Retirement plans and Social Security>show more
  2. Ira (401K), pension plan Withdrawals(1099R) Edit
  3. Here you should see a summary screen with a 1099-R listed. If this is not be reported this year, select the trash icon next to edit to delete it.
