No, you can't use the standard TurboTax Free Edition to file a 1099-NEC (self-employment/contractor income). A 1099-NEC requires reporting income on Schedule C (or Schedule 1), which forces an upgrade to a paid version.

Why did you get a 1099NEC?   That is usually for self employment income.  You can’t use the Free Edition.

You can enter Self Employment Income into Online Deluxe but if you have any expenses you will have to upgrade to the Premium version or use any of the Desktop CD/Download programs.
