I turned 70 1/2 in June of 2018 but did not receive any payments until January 2019. Do I need to declare the amount received in 2018?

If you took your 2018 RMD in 2019 then it gets reported on the 2019 return ... remember you now must also take out the 2019 RMD by 12/31/19 as only the first payment can be postponed.
