I took a one time lifetime rollover from my IRA to fund my HSA. How do I correctly file that on my taxes? The software is showing this as an early distribution

After you indicate that you "did something else with the money," i.e., you did not move the funds to another retirement account, TurboTax will ask if you moved the funds to an HSA.  TurboTax will then treat the amount as nontaxable income by including it on Form 1040 line 4a but excluding it from line 4b with the "HFD" notation.  Even though it is an early distribution, it is not subject to penalty because it is nontaxable.

What does "did not work" mean?  What do you see that indicates that it did not work?  Where you asked if any of the funds were transferred to an HSA?

I am having problems as well.  If I say that I am currently on Medicare, it does not allow the deduction and shows as an excess contribution to my HSA.  Can I not do the transfer after I begin Medicare?

You have to be covered by an HDHP in order to make a rollover from your IRA to your HSA. And you then have to stay covered by an HDHP for at least 12 more months after the transfer. If not, the money you transferred will be included in your taxable income, and you'll also owe a 10% penalty on the money you withdrew from your IRA.

No, once you are on Medicare, you may no longer contribute to an HSA. This is a case of conflicting coverage, that is, even if you have HDHP coverage, you may noy have conflicting coverage, which Medicare is.

"I am having same issue as OP. The solution posted did not work." What did not work? Tell us the steps that you took.

In the 1099-R interview, after you enter the data on the form, there will be a series of screens. If you checked the IRA box on the form, then eventually there will be the question that dmertz referred to, "What did [name] do with the money?"

So what steps did you take and what were your answers? The steps that dmertz gave were exactly the things you need to do to complete the description of the transfer of money from an IRA to an HSA.
