I see that the box on the printed 1040 regarding whether my main home was in the U.S. for more than half of 2025 is unchecked. How do I add a check to that box?

I'm using TurboTax Online premium. I don't remember Turbotax asking about this question.

That box does not need to be checked unless you are eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit.

The IRS will process a tax return and issue a tax refund without that box being checked.

That box matters if you are getting earned income credit or if you or your spouse have some sort of immigration  status issue; otherwise it does not affect anything.
