I rolled over Walmart 401k to a Roth IRA in 2017 within time period allowed. Why is the Walmart 401k being added as income on my refund when i rolled it over?

If the Walmart 401 (k) was not a Roth 401 (k), you would pay taxes on it as the conversion from a non-taxed account to a Roth would be considered taxable income. If it was a Roth 401 (k), something is not correct.
