I received the wrong amount on my return from the IRS. It was a direct deposit in our checking account. The amount was $4800.00 more than on the return. Now what?

Wait and IRS will send a letter explaining why the refund was larger.
If it was a rounded amount like that, it could be a estimated tax payment not listed on the return when filed and IRS added it.
Once you get the letter you can contact us (or IRS) if they does not fully explain why the refund is larger.
However if appears to be good news.
