I receive Social Security income. I do not work any more. I received an inheritance of $3,161. Do I need to file.?

Does this increase my yearly income?  $17,873.

If Social Security is your only income, you don't need to file a return.  Your inheritance generally won't be taxable, and wouldn't cause your Social Security income to be..

If Social Security is your only income, you don't need to file a return.  Your inheritance generally won't be taxable, and wouldn't cause your Social Security income to be..
