I need help deciding what to do with my 401K, I had to leave my job for health and I had a disability too.

I just got on SSDI permanently, I had to resign from my job, I need help of what to do with my 401K I need to know if I choose to let my 401K default how much taxes will I need to pay the IRS?

do you mean what happens if you take out of your 401k all in one year?

or leave it invested in the 401k?

or transfer to an IRA?

do you need to spend the money in the 401k? if so do you need it all now or can you spread the withdrawals over multiple years?

are you over 55 years old? Over 59 1/2?
