I made an IRA deposit on 1/20 on my return I reported the deposit, but failed to put down the name of the payee" Should I amend to correct the IRA payee or should I wait?

I made myself both the payer and payee on my IRA contribution. There is no change to the taxable amount, but there is no reporting of Fidelity Investments as the payee with their Federal ID number.

No, there is no need to amend your return.  You do not need to enter any information about where you deposit your IRA funds.  The financial institution that receives the funds will report the deposit to the IRS.

You only need to enter a payer’s name and address information when you have received a distribution from an IRA reported on Form 1099-R.
