This is how you enter your contribution to your HSA outside of payroll:
I was told by tech support that they made a software update on March 17th that removed this input box. The HSA section now shows the following:
Then Questions:
NO, I did not use my HSA to pay for any expenses in 2025.
YES, I was covered by a HDHP
Then then next option box
This is where I expect to answer I made direct contributions, but that is not there. Im told they removed this.
I did receive a 5498 -SA from my HSA administrator, which shows my 2025 direct contribution.
Seems from tech support, I can't enter this anymore.
The instructions of @MinhT1 are correct. Or you may follow the steps below.
In TurboTax Online, return to HSA contributions as follows:
I greatly appreciate the guidance. I followed these instructions. Federal/deductions/HSA. when I get to the HSA section there is no box to enter my contributions. I been through this a dozen times and even 3-4 times with turbotax tech support. They said they changed their software March 17. Below is the screen, I get to. But none of these apply. Help please. There must be a new way to input this info.
here is what tech support point me too. it under their HSA instructions. I have a 5498-SA that shows my contribution. Turbotax says it isn't entered. But my contribution should be a reduction from my income?
Yes, your direct contribution to your HSA is a tax deduction. So you should be able to enter it as part of your return.
It appears that you are using TurboTax Online to prepare your return. I just tested a scenario for entering a personal contribution to an HSA using TurboTax Online Deluxe and the correct input screens did come up.

I believe that support told you that the input was removed with a recent update, even though that makes no sense to remove an input screen that can be required for certain tax returns.
As a last resort, if this cannot be resolved, you can use your online tax data file and import it to a desktop version of TurboTax where the input can be entered directly on the tax form if necessary. Here is a TurboTax help article to describe the process:
How do I switch from TurboTax Online to TurboTax Desktop?
