I’m retired,why is my state taxing me

Depending on the state you live in, all or part of your retirement income may be taxed.  It depends on what type retirement you get and whether or not you have other types of unearned income.

A does not tax my retirement but turbo tax keeps putting it in as income

Which state?  Some states do not tax retirement income only if you are over a certain age.
