He would have to file his own tax return to report the advanced child tax credit. You should not enter it on your tax return. Also, he may qualify for an earned income credit based on his earned income in 2019 if he had any.
If he prepares a return, he should complete the earned income credit section in the Deductions and Credits section of TurboTax, then You and Your Family, then Earned Income Credit (EIC).
Did he have any income at all, such as Unemployment Comp?
You don't mention the child that your BF claimed to get the AdvCTC. If he is your dependent for 2021, he will not be able to claim his child on his tax return. A dependent can not have a dependent.
The CTC for the child is much bigger than the "other dependent credit" ($500 max) that you get for your BF being your dependent.
You can not claim an unrelated person as a dependent, unless he lived with you all year.
