I lived in NC from 2004 until 2014. In 2014, I moved to NY. I now work and live in NY only. At age 60, I took the total distribution of the NC retirement plan. Do I pay state tax to NC or NY?

You only pay taxes to the state where you live (NY) for the retirement distribution, not the state where the distribution originated (NC).
