I haven't got a 1099-g in the mail yet... I didn't start receiving my unemployment until 2018 do I need a 1099 or can I file without it?

If you did not start collecting unemployment until 2018 you will not receive the 1099-G until next year so you do not need to include it on your return now.

Thank u that's what I thought but wasn't sure since I normally start collecting the year prior. I file every year my job is seasonal... So saying I was collecting in January last year that would have been included in that 1099 right?

Yes it would be included for 2017
