I have no 1099-R for the total amount of RMD that TurboTax says I owe

I have TWO 1009-Rs, requiring $XTOTALRMD distributions.
I fulfilled those distributions.
Turbotax reports on Form 5329-T a "RMD for accounts number" that is thousands larger than the sum of my actual two 1099-Rs. So, the IRS is penalizing me for not distributing an RMD for the thousands-larger non-existent IRA.

I have already re-imported, recalibrated, re-whatever this Desktop app, which in the past has been completely unproblematical.

Is there another form than 1099-R that requires an RMD?
Where do I find its raw information in the Desktop app? 5329-T reports the $XTOTALRMD + Thousands" number, so I know the Thousands to look for, but I don't find a Search Forms for Number option.

Thanx again, Sharon

Here's how to report RMDs when you have multiple Forms 1099-R.  You need to clear the RMD information you have already entered in TurboTax.  To do so, you will have to delete your Forms 1099-R.  After you delete the forms re-enter them.  When you are asked "How much of the [distribution amount] was an RMD?"  Mark the button to indicate that "The entire distribution was an RMD".   On the screen with "Let's get more information about your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD)."  the program asks "Could you tell us what the required minimum distribution for your account was in 2025?" Enter the same amount that was in box 1 of your 1099-R.  Do this for each of your Form 1099-R.

After you have entered all your Forms 1099-R, on the screen with ""Let's check if you met the minimum distribution requirement" the program will ask "Did you take the required minimum distribution (RMD) for 2025 for ALL of your retirement accounts that have this requirement?".  Answer Yes, assuming that you have met your combined RMD requirements.

The RMD information that shows may be more than your actual combined RMD amount for the year.  That's OK.  The information is not included with your tax return and is not reported to the IRS.

Thank you for these detailed steps, which I scrupulously followed.

I have yet to discover where the extra thousands are coming from - I have taken the full RMD from each individual account. That was planned months ago, is done, and recorded.

There is an additional number in there -

OH, it's as if one of the RMDs has been added twice. The additional is the same amount as the second RMD, which is listed once with the correct.

Darn it all to heck,

Sharon

Gonna be the re-entry queen - this is my 3rd or 4th attempt to complete an error-free (to me) electronic tax form.
