I have had a roth since 2010. Total contributions $2015.09. Took out $2000.09 in 2018. I am under 59 1/2. How can I get Turbo Tax to recognize that it is not taxable?

Distributions from a Roth IRA of amounts previously contributed are not taxable.

For TurboTax to recognize that your distribution is not taxable, you must enter in TurboTax the amounts you contributed in past years.

After you have entered your form 1099-R, TurboTax will take you back to the summary page titled Your 1099-R Entries.

On that page, click Continue and follow the TurboTax until you arrive at the page titled Enter Prior Year Roth IRA Contributions where you can enter the amount of your past contributions (see attached screenshot).
