After our parents died in 2016, my sisters and I divided their life insurance and IRA funds. I received a 1099-Rs for these funds and I reported them on my 2016 tax return. I did not include the copies of my 1099-R on my mailed in return. Do I need to amend my 2016 return to send them copies of the 1099-Rs?

The only things that need to be sent with a paper-filed return are forms that have tax withheld on them. If the issuer of the 1099-Rs did not show any federal or state tax withheld, you didn't need to include them with your filed return.
Even with tax withheld, if you received your refund, you should wait until the IRS asks for them, although I don't think you would have received the refund without tham if they were needed.
