I have a 401K from a previous contracting firm that I worked with in 2017 called ADITI staffing. I did not put any money into the fund in 2018. Where do I put the loss?

What Loss?  401K contributions (both employee and employer) are pretax items and have never been taxed in the first place.  You only pay the tax when you take a withdrawal.  If there was a loss in the account you will just have less to withdrawal and pay tax on.  You can not deduct a loss.
