In box 12? Does one have a year with it like 21? I think you can add them together or ask your employer why there's 2.
Yes I do have the number 21 next to one of the entries. I will try and add them together and see what happens. Thanks!
If you are doing a 2022 return you can simply ignore the code D for 2021.
I added the two entries together and it worked. Thank you.
For others who read this thread in the future... adding contributions for more than one year and entering the total on just one tax year could cause over contribution penalties. The prior year Code D should be reported on the prior year tax return if that amount will put you over the max 401K contribution for that tax year.
