I had a lot more income in 2018 than in previous years because I am retired. Is there a way I can average my income for 2018 with other years and reduce my tax burden?

I meant that, now that I am retired, I will have even less income in 2019 than in 2018.

Sorry, no, income averaging is only available to farmers who have fluctuating income.
