If you personally received W-2's from two or more separate employers and the total of all Social Security taxes withheld was more than $8,240 then the excess SS taxes withheld will be entered on your tax return as a tax payment.  It will be included with your federal tax refund or it will reduce the federal taxes owed.

The excess SS taxes withheld are reported on Schedule 3, Part II on Line 11.  The totals from Schedule 3 Part II flow to the federal tax return, Form 1040 Line 18d as a tax payment.
