My granddaughter received income in 2019 from SSI and she didn't get any forms to report from. She called them and they told her it was not taxable, so they didn't need to send any forms. I have never received income from SSI and I am not sure that she would not have to report this income if her husband did receive regular work income. Any answers from anyone who might know.
@archangels SSI income is not taxable as you were told, so your granddaughter does not need to enter it on her tax return. If she is married, her husband's income may affect her eligibility to qualify for benefits, but that is not an income tax issue.
