Social Security is never 100% taxable and depending on your other income, it may not be taxable at all. Your full Social Security benefit shows on line 6a and the portion that is taxable shows on line 6b on the first page of your 1040 or 1040-SR form.
If you are looking for tax credits based on your Social Security benefit, there have been some changes since last year. Last year, you could qualify for both the Child Tax Credit and the Earned Income Credit based on a Social Security benefit. For this year, you must have earned income (wages or self employment income) to get these credits.
