I filed my taxes April 16th 20/20 it was accepted April 16th 2020 it was accepted by the IRS it says December 31st and I filed April 16th 2020 so why does it say December 31st and why I don't have my

I suspect that the IRS is indicating that the tax return that was accepted was the tax return for the tax year ending on December 31, 2019, not that the tax return was accepted on December 31, 2019.
