I filed my taxes and they came back as accepted. I forgot about my 401k statement that came in the mail as well as a check I received last year for under $1,000. Do I need to go back and file again?

You will have to file an Amended return to include the 1099R you just got.

Once the return has been filed it cannot be stopped (unless you get extremely lucky and IRS would reject it for some reason).

So you have to wait for the return to be processed and you get your refund.

Then approx mid-February you can sign back into TurboTax and do the Amended return.
