I filed my taxes already and showed no contribution to a 2016 Traditional IRA. I am above the income threshold to deduct. Can I still contribute before April 18?

Would I need to amend my tax return or not because it does not impact my deductions?

Yes, you can still contribute for 2016 up until April 18, 2017.  If you do, you must amend your tax return to report on Form 8606 the nondeductible traditional IRA contribution.
